Simple terms for a simple service.

Nauvl is a subscription-based memory platform. You send content to Ren via SMS/MMS, the Nauvl website, or by uploading files directly. Ren organizes and enriches what you share and stores it in your private archive.

We provide a 10-day free trial to new accounts. No credit card is required to begin the trial. At the end of the trial, you can choose to subscribe or your access to new features will be limited. Your existing memories remain accessible.

Nauvl is intended for parents and caregivers who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Free trial. New accounts receive a 10-day free trial with access to all features. The trial starts when you create your account. We do not require a payment method to start.

Subscription plans. After your trial, paid plans unlock the full dashboard, AI-powered insights, annual portraits, and Ask Ren. Current plan pricing is shown on the Nauvl website and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, in advance, via Stripe. Renewals happen automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings — your access continues until the end of the billing period.

Refunds. We offer refunds within 7 days of any charge if you contact us and haven't made significant use of the service during that period. After 7 days, charges are non-refundable. To request a refund, email hello@nauvl.com.

You own everything you send to Nauvl — messages, photos, videos, voice notes. Nauvl does not claim ownership over your memories.

By uploading content, you grant Nauvl a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We never use your memories to train AI models, publish them, or share them with anyone else.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share anything you upload — including photos or recordings that feature other people. Please don't upload content that is illegal or infringes on others' rights.

Nauvl operates as an SMS/MMS messaging service. By creating an account and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from Nauvl, including:

• One-time verification codes for account authentication
• Responses from Ren to memories you send via text, photo, video, or voice note
• Re-engagement nudges if you have not messaged Ren in a while (no more than 2–4 per month)

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on how often you use the service. You may receive one reply per memory you send, plus occasional re-engagement messages. Ren-initiated messages are typically limited to 2–4 per month.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply. Nauvl does not charge separately for SMS/MMS — your carrier's standard rates apply.

Opt-out. To stop receiving non-essential messages, reply STOP to any message from Nauvl. You will receive one final confirmation and no further re-engagement messages will be sent. You will continue to receive OTP verification codes needed to sign in. To resume, reply START.

Help. Reply HELP to any message for support information, or contact us at hello@nauvl.com.

Carriers. Nauvl is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier conditions. Supported carriers include major US and Canadian networks; coverage may vary.

Your consent is yours. Your SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Use Nauvl to capture and preserve memories for your family. Please don't use Nauvl to:

• Upload content that is illegal, abusive, or that violates anyone's rights
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the service at scale
• Circumvent subscription or trial limits through technical means
• Send spam or abuse the SMS messaging channel

Violations of these terms may result in account suspension or termination. We will let you know why if we take that step, unless doing so would be illegal or would compromise the security of the service.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@nauvl.com immediately.

You can export your entire archive at any time from Settings. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data retention and deletion.

By you. You can close your account at any time from Settings. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.

By us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are used for abusive or illegal activity, or remain inactive for an extended period with no active subscription. We will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data before termination, except in cases of serious abuse.

If we shut down the Nauvl service entirely, we will give at least 60 days' notice and provide a way to export your archive before the shutdown date.

Nauvl is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for:

• Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
• Actions of third-party services (Anthropic, Telnyx, Twilio, Stripe) that we do not control

Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations on liability, so these limits may not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be overridden by these terms.

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll notify you via email or a notice in the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that point means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can close your account before the changes take effect.
