Nauvl

Our story

Built for parents,
by a parent.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

The problem we’re solving

Every parent carries the same quiet fear: that they’ll forget. The exact word their child invented for something. The specific way they laughed at age two. The question they asked that stopped time.

We tell ourselves we’ll remember. We don’t. Not the details. Not the texture of those moments. Not the version of our child who existed at 18 months, or 3 years, or 6.

Nauvl was built because existing tools — photo apps, baby books, journals — all require effort at the wrong moment. They ask parents to stop, organize, and curate. Nauvl asks you to do one thing: text what’s happening, right now, the way you’d text a friend.

Meet the founder

Jordan Seller

Founder & CEO, Nauvl · Calgary, AB

Jordan Seller is a parent based in Calgary, Alberta. Nauvl grew from a personal need: a place to capture the everyday moments that felt too fleeting, too specific, too real to lose — but too small for a proper photo or journal entry.

The thesis behind Nauvl is simple: the most important memories of childhood aren’t the milestones. They’re the texture in between. The weird words, the illogical fears, the jokes that only made sense to your family. Those are the things worth keeping, and they’re the things most likely to slip away.

Our values

Privacy is non-negotiable

Your memories are yours. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not run ads. You can export everything or delete everything at any time.

Friction is the enemy of memory

Every feature we build is evaluated against one question: does this make it easier to capture a moment, or does it add another step? If it adds a step, we don't ship it.

The small things matter most

Nauvl is not a milestone tracker. It's a texture tracker. The goal is to preserve the specific, the weird, the small — not just the big moments that everyone photographs.

AI should be invisible

Ren is powerful because he gets out of the way. He doesn't ask you to tag, categorize, or rate. He simply holds everything you give him, and gives it back beautifully when you ask.
